Pseudogenes of 7SL RNA are truncated copies thought to have arisen by retrotransposition, lacking regulatory elements and not producing functional RNA or protein products[4][6]. Although the canonical 7SL RNA plays pivotal roles in protein translocation and cellular stress responses, its pseudogenes—including RN7SL215P—do not participate in these functions and are not considered biological or therapeutic targets.
