Overview

RN7SL273P is a human noncoding RNA pseudogene corresponding to a truncated or inactivated copy of the gene encoding the 7SL RNA, a component of the signal recognition particle. RN7SL273P is a pseudogene in the human genome corresponding to the RNA encoding the 7SL (signal recognition particle) RNA component, but it does not produce any functional RNA or protein. Most "7SL RNA" pseudogenes are truncated and result from the reverse transcription and integration of 7SL RNA into genomic DNA. There are several hundred such 7SL RNA-like sequences in human DNA, but only a few represent active genes, while the majority are pseudogenes like RN7SL273P which do not have any known biological function[1][6][7]. RN7SL273P is not considered a therapeutic target, does not have validated biological activity, disease associations, or known drug interactions. Any reference to "RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 273, pseudogene" as a receptor or therapeutic target is incorrect, as this gene is classified as a noncoding pseudogene with no described biological roles, marker utility, or safety concerns. If structured as a drug target, this entry is likely incorrect: RN7SL273P is not a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any recognized functional molecule, but an inactivated copy of a noncoding RNA gene.
