RN7SL311P refers to a human pseudogene derived from sequences of 7SL RNA, the non-coding RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP)[1][3][4]. 7SL RNA itself is critical for SRP assembly and protein targeting, but RN7SL pseudogenes such as RN7SL311P are considered nonfunctional copies resulting from the reverse integration of 7SL RNA into the genome[3][4]. These pseudogenes are typically truncated and lack detectable expression, with no evidence of participation in normal biological functions, disease mechanisms, or therapeutic intervention. The majority of 7SL-like sequences in human DNA are pseudogenes, with only a few representing active genes[3][4]. RN7SL pseudogenes can sometimes have sequence diversity and are not associated with known protein products, pathways, or clinical activity.
