The canonical 7SL RNA is an essential component of the signal recognition particle (SRP), a ribonucleoprotein complex vital for targeting secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum during translation[3][5]. However, RN7SL337P itself, like most 7SL pseudogenes, does not encode a functional RNA and is not transcribed at appreciable levels[1][4]. Such pseudogenes are the genomic remnants of retrotransposition events involving 7SL RNA, and do not participate in canonical biological processes or act as therapeutic targets. There is no evidence indicating RN7SL337P is involved in disease, functions as a biomarker, or interacts with drugs.
