RN7SL344P is a pseudogene derived from the human 7SL RNA, a critical component of the signal recognition particle responsible for protein targeting to cellular membranes[3][5][7]. The human genome contains hundreds of 7SL-related pseudogenes likely resulting from reverse transcription and genomic integration of the original 7SL RNA sequence[5][7]. These are generally truncated and non-functional, lacking conserved promoter elements and typically not expressed as functional RNAs or proteins. Although some pseudogenes elsewhere in the genome can exert regulatory functions—such as acting as molecular sponges for microRNAs or modulating gene expression—there is currently no evidence for any specific biological or disease relevance for RN7SL344P. It is not considered a receptor, enzyme, or any form of classical drug-targetable molecule[2][3][5][7].
