Overview

RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 350, pseudogene (RN7SL350P) is a processed pseudogene derived from the RNA, 7SL (cytoplasmic 1) gene, which encodes the 7SL RNA core component of the signal recognition particle (SRP), a ribonucleoprotein complex essential for targeting secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum in eukaryotic cells. RN7SL350P itself does not produce a functional RNA or protein, and is not known to be involved in established biological pathways, nor is it regarded as a therapeutic target. Pseudogenes such as RN7SL350P are typically non-functional remnants of evolution, though rare pseudogenes can serve regulatory roles (e.g., as competitive endogenous RNAs, ceRNAs, or miRNA sponges), but there is currently no evidence for such a function for RN7SL350P specifically. It is not associated with known drug targeting, disease processes, or biomarker status.

Biological functions

None (pseudogenes generally do not have standard biological functions, but may act as regulatory non-coding RNAs in rare cases)
03

Disease associations

Other (no direct evidence links RN7SL350P to specific diseases; some processed pseudogenes can participate in disease via ceRNA/miRNA sponge effects, but no evidence for this specific pseudogene)
