RN7SL36P is a human non-coding RNA pseudogene, a member of a large family of 7SL RNA pseudogenes that originated from retrotransposition of the 7SL RNA gene. The functional 7SL RNA is a crucial component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) involved in protein translocation across the endoplasmic reticulum. However, RN7SL36P itself is a truncated, non-functional copy and does not encode a functional RNA or protein. It has no known biological activity, therapeutic relevance, or active involvement in cellular signaling or disease mechanisms. It does not function as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor, and there are no known drugs, biomarkers, or diseases associated with this locus. Consequently, it is not considered a therapeutic target.
