Overview

RN7SL368P is a human pseudogene that is related by sequence to the functional 7SL RNA, a non-coding RNA component of the signal recognition particle involved in directing proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum[2][7][4]. Unlike functional 7SL RNA genes, RN7SL368P does not encode an active RNA molecule and is regarded as a non-functional, transcriptionally inactive locus generated by retrotransposition or genomic rearrangement events[7][8]. Pseudogenes like RN7SL368P are generally considered evolutionary remnants, and the vast majority have no known biological activity, no role in disease, and do not serve as therapeutic targets[8][2]. There is no evidence of RN7SL368P being used as a drug target, biomarker, or implicated in known pathologies[2][5][8]. If you require information about the functional 7SL RNA or signal recognition particle complex, these components are biologically active, but RN7SL368P itself is not.
