The majority of 7SL RNA-derived sequences in humans are pseudogenes that are functionally silent and do not encode proteins or functional RNA components[3][5][9]. Only a small number of loci encode the active 7SL RNA, which is an essential part of the signal recognition particle (SRP) responsible for the co-translational targeting of proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum[7][8]. RN7SL386P and similar pseudogenes do not participate in this function, and there is no evidence for a regulatory, disease, or drug interaction role for these specific pseudogenes[1][2][4][5][9]. RN7SL386P is a non-functional pseudogene, not a receptor, enzyme, or transporter. It is not a therapeutic or pharmacological target. It is a genomic sequence derived from 7SL RNA but is not known to encode any functional product or participate in cellular processes. There are no reported drugs, biomarkers, clinical roles, or safety issues associated specifically with RN7SL386P[1][2][4][5][9].
