RN7SL419P is a human pseudogene derived from 7SL RNA, the RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP)[5][3][1]. Functional 7SL RNA is essential for targeting secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum in eukaryotes. However, RN7SL419P is not an active gene: like most 7SL RNA pseudogenes, it is a truncated, non-functional copy dispersed within the genome, likely generated by reverse transcription of 7SL RNA into DNA followed by genomic insertion[5]. The majority of human 7SL-related sequences are inactive pseudogenes and do not encode functional products or have established regulatory roles[5]. Unlike its parental gene, RN7SL (7SL RNA), RN7SL419P is not implicated in any known biology, therapeutic targeting, or disease mechanisms[1][5].
