RN7SL453P is a non-coding RNA pseudogene in the human genome, representing a non-functional, truncated copy of the 7SL RNA gene, which is part of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex essential for targeting newly synthesized proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum[1][3][4][8]. The majority of 7SL RNA-like sequences in the genome—such as RN7SL453P—are pseudogenes formed by the integration of reverse-transcribed RNA sequences into DNA and do not encode functional RNA or protein products. These pseudogenes play no known direct biological role and are not considered therapeutic drug targets, nor are they known to contribute to disease[3][4][8].
