RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 48, pseudogene (RN7SL48P) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene in the human genome. It is homologous to 7SL RNA, a component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) that plays a role in protein targeting and secretion, but as a pseudogene, RN7SL48P does not produce a functional RNA or protein product and has no known biological function or relevance as a therapeutic target. There is no evidence that RN7SL48P is involved in any disease, is a drug target, or has biomarker or safety relevance. Its designation as a pseudogene means it is typically of interest only for genetic and evolutionary studies, not for therapeutic intervention.
