RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 542, pseudogene (RN7SL542P) is a processed pseudogene found in the human genome that is derived from 7SL RNA, the non-coding RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP)[1][4][5][7]. Most 7SL-related sequences in human DNA are pseudogenes created through reverse transcription and reintegration of the RNA into the genome[5][7]. These pseudogenes, including RN7SL542P, do not produce functional RNA or protein; instead, they are truncated and generally lack expression or biological activity[1][4][5][7]. Although some pseudogenes in other families can have regulatory or disease roles, there is no published evidence or annotation suggesting a biological, clinical, or therapeutic relevance for RN7SL542P[1][2][4][5].
