RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 571, pseudogene (RN7SL571P) is classified as a pseudogene of the 7SL RNA family in the human genome[2][4][5]. 7SL RNA is the essential RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex, which is involved in cotranslational targeting of proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum[1][3]. However, pseudogenes like RN7SL571P are non-functional, truncated, or otherwise incapable of producing active SRP RNA transcripts[4][5]. The majority of 7SL RNA-related sequences in the genome are such pseudogenes, typically resulting from reverse transcription and genomic integration of 7SL RNA sequences[4][5]. They do not encode functional SRP RNA and have no established biological or disease roles, nor are they considered therapeutic targets.
