RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 577, pseudogene (RN7SL577P) is a truncated, non-functional genomic sequence resembling the 7SL RNA gene, a key RNA component of the signal recognition particle involved in co-translational protein targeting to the endoplasmic reticulum in eukaryotes[1][5]. Like most 7SL RNA pseudogenes, RN7SL577P arises via reverse transcription and integration of 7SL RNA fragments into the genome[6][3]. These pseudogenes are highly prevalent and diverse in human DNA, but they are generally non-expressed and do not encode functional RNA or proteins[3][4]. While some pseudogenes have been reported to exert regulatory effects by acting as miRNA decoys or influencing RNA-binding proteins, there is no specific evidence that RN7SL577P has such functions[2]. As a result, RN7SL577P is not a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or druggable molecule.
