Overview

RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 619, pseudogene (RN7SL619P) is a **pseudogene** derived from the gene encoding 7SL RNA, which is a component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) ribonucleoprotein complex[1][3][4][7]. Unlike the functional 7SL RNA genes, RN7SL619P is a nonfunctional, likely truncated genomic sequence that shares homology with 7SL RNA but does not produce a functional transcript or protein[2][3][4][9][8]. Pseudogenes such as RN7SL619P arise through the reverse transcription and reintegration of RNA molecules into the genome, and they accumulate mutations that render them inactive[2][3][4]. The majority of 7SL-like sequences in the human genome are pseudogenes, with only a few remaining as functional 7SL RNA genes[3][4][7]. There are no known therapeutic drugs, biomarker roles, or links to disease for RN7SL619P, and it is not considered a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other classic drug target class[2][3][4][9][8].
