RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 625, pseudogene (RN7SL625P) is a genomic region in humans that represents a processed or truncated copy of the 7SL RNA gene. The 7SL RNA is an essential component of the signal recognition particle (SRP), a ribonucleoprotein complex involved in cotranslational protein targeting to the endoplasmic reticulum[5]. However, RN7SL625P itself does not encode a functional SRP RNA. Instead, it is a non-coding, non-functional pseudogene sequence likely derived by reverse transcription and integration of RNA back into genomic DNA[7][8]. RN7SL-type pseudogenes are present in large numbers throughout the human genome, but do not produce protein or functional RNA, nor do they act as therapeutic targets. There is no current evidence implicating RN7SL625P in any clinical or regulatory role, nor is it involved in disease pathogenesis or as a biomarker[1][7][8].
