RN7SL633P is a human processed pseudogene related to the RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic gene family, which encodes the 7SL RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP). Pseudogenes like RN7SL633P are remnants of once-functional genes that have lost protein-coding ability due to mutations. While the parent 7SL RNA is critical for directing nascent secretory proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum, RN7SL633P itself is not functionally transcribed or translated and currently lacks known biological functions, disease associations, or pharmacological targeting relevance.
