RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 66, pseudogene (RN7SL66P) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene found in the human genome. Pseudogenes are sequences that resemble functional genes but have lost their protein-coding ability or functionality due to mutations or truncations. RN7SL66P is related to the 7SL RNA family, which normally encodes a key RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP), but as a pseudogene, RN7SL66P is not functional and does not participate in these biological processes. While some pseudogenes can exert regulatory effects (such as producing antisense transcripts or small RNAs that influence gene expression in rare contexts), there is no established evidence that RN7SL66P performs such roles. RN7SL66P is not considered a therapeutic target, nor is it associated with any known drug interactions or biomarker usage.
