The functional, canonical form of 7SL RNA is a component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex, which mediates the targeting and translocation of proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum in eukaryotic cells[7]. However, pseudogenes like RN7SL693P do not encode functional molecules or known proteins and are generally not expressed. They **do not serve as therapeutic targets** such as receptors, enzymes, channels, or transporters, nor are they known to have direct biological, disease, or pharmacological roles, although some pseudogenes can influence gene expression indirectly in certain contexts[4][6]. There are no known drugs, mechanisms of action, biomarkers, or safety concerns associated with this pseudogene.
