Target intelligence / Profile preview
RN7SL750P is a pseudogene of the human 7SL RNA, a noncoding RNA molecule originally part of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex[1][3]. Pseudogenes like RN7SL750P are genomic segments similar to genuine genes but are generally non-functional due to accumulated mutations, truncation, or the lack of regulatory elements[3]. Unlike the functional 7SL RNA, which has roles in protein targeting to the endoplasmic reticulum, RN7SL750P does *not* encode for any known protein or functional RNA and is not implicated in cellular functions or disease causality[1][3]. It is not considered a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or related molecule. Its scientific relevance is primarily in genomics and evolutionary studies of noncoding RNA gene families rather than in drug targeting or biomarker research[1][3].
