Overview

RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 776, pseudogene (RN7SL776P) is a human pseudogene corresponding to 7SL RNA, which in its functional form is a non-coding RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP). Pseudogenes of 7SL RNA are the result of reverse transcription events and are widely distributed in the human genome. They typically do not produce functional RNA transcripts or proteins and lack known biological function. Some pseudogenes have been shown to be transcribed and may, in certain contexts, have regulatory roles such as acting as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNA), but there is no evidence for such roles for RN7SL776P[1][4][5][6]. Therefore, RN7SL776P is not a recognized receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other classical therapeutic target.
