RNA, Ro-associated Y3 pseudogene 4 (RNY3P4)

Target
RNY3P4
Molecular classification
Pseudogene, Non-coding RNA
01

Overview

RNY3 pseudogene 4 (RNY3P4) is a predicted pseudogene of the human RNY3 gene, which encodes a small, non-coding Y-RNA associated with the Ro60 ribonucleoprotein complex and thought to contribute to RNA quality control, mRNA processing, and DNA replication. Pseudogenes like RNY3P4 arise due to duplication events and generally are not transcribed into functional RNA; their biological functions, disease associations, and therapeutic relevance remain undefined. Unlike its functional parent gene, no evidence supports RNY3P4 as a therapeutic target or as a participant in disease processes or drug interactions.
