Many U1 snRNA pseudogenes and variant loci exist throughout the genome and can sometimes be transcribed, but they typically lack the necessary sequence elements for full biogenesis or interaction with spliceosomal proteins[2]. There is no evidence that RNU1-61P serves as a therapeutic, diagnostic, or pharmacological target, nor are there known drugs or safety concerns associated with it[4].
