RNU1-97P (RNA, U1 small nuclear 97, pseudogene) is a human pseudogene related in sequence to the U1 small nuclear RNA family, which normally plays a crucial role in splicing of pre-mRNA in the spliceosome complex[1][3][5]. However, as a pseudogene, RNU1-97P is not known to produce a functional RNA or protein product, nor does it participate in RNA splicing or other cellular functions associated with canonical U1 snRNA. There is currently no evidence associating this pseudogene with any biological processes, molecular mechanisms, disease roles, or drug interactions[1][5].
