RNA, U11 small nuclear 4, pseudogene (RNU11-4P) is a noncoding RNA pseudogene in humans, located on chromosome 8[6]. It is classified as a pseudogene relative to the functional RNU11 gene, which encodes a component of the minor spliceosome snRNA complex involved in mRNA splicing. As a pseudogene, RNU11-4P is not known to produce a functional RNA or protein, nor has it been directly implicated in disease or as a therapeutic target[1]. While some pseudogenes can have regulatory roles or be transcribed into RNA with biological effects[2], there is currently no evidence that RNU11-4P plays such a role. Thus, it serves primarily as a genetic relic without a confirmed molecular function.
