RNA, U2 small nuclear 47, pseudogene (RNU2-47P) is a human gene classified as a pseudogene of the U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) family. It is located on chromosome 9 and does not encode a functional product. Unlike functional U2 snRNAs, which are critical spliceosomal components in pre-mRNA splicing, pseudogenes like RNU2-47P are nonfunctional DNA sequences resembling known functional genes but lack biological activity. There is no evidence that RNU2-47P plays a role in disease, drug interaction, or serves as a therapeutic target[1][3][7]. This molecule is included in genomic references for completeness but is not considered a functional molecule or therapeutic target.
