RNU2-60P (RNA, U2 small nuclear 60, pseudogene) is a pseudogene that encodes a non-functional RNA homologous to the U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) family[2][3]. U2 snRNAs are components of the spliceosome complex, which catalyzes pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotic nuclei[4]. However, RNU2-60P itself is annotated as a pseudogene, which means it does not produce a functional RNA product and is not incorporated into the spliceosome or other functional ribonucleoprotein complexes[2][3]. There is no evidence that RNU2-60P is expressed, has regulatory function, or is involved in disease processes. It is not a drug target, has no associated biomarkers, and presents no known therapeutic safety concerns.
