Unlike functional U4 snRNA, which serves as a core component of the spliceosome essential for pre-mRNA splicing, RNU4-20P is not known to be transcribed into an active snRNA nor to play a direct biological role. There are no published reports supporting the function of this pseudogene in any disease process, no drugs targeting it, and no evidence suggesting clinical or therapeutic relevance[5][6][7]. RNU4-20P is a non-coding pseudogene and is not a therapeutically relevant target, nor does it participate in any known disease mechanisms or drug interactions[5][6][7].
