Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNU4-34P (RNA, U4 small nuclear 34, pseudogene) is a predicted pseudogene corresponding to the U4 small nuclear RNA gene family[7]. Pseudogenes resemble functional genes but typically have lost their ability to be expressed or to encode functional RNA or protein products due to sequence mutations, truncations, or other genomic alterations[5]. RNU4-34P does not encode a functional U4 snRNA and has no measurable biological or pathological activity. It is not considered a therapeutic target, has no known disease role, does not act as a biomarker, and is not targeted by drugs.
