Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U4 small nuclear 71, pseudogene (RNU4-71P) is annotated in some genomic databases as a pseudogene related to U4 small nuclear RNA. Unlike the functional U4 snRNA genes (such as RNU4-2), which play a critical role in spliceosome assembly and pre-mRNA splicing, RNU4-71P does not produce a functional RNA. As a pseudogene, it is generally non-functional and has no established biological role or involvement in disease, nor does it serve as a therapeutic target or biomarker.
None (no mechanism, as not a functional gene product)
