Unlike the functional U4 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) genes (e.g., RNU4-2), which are integral parts of the spliceosome complex and have well-documented roles in pre-mRNA splicing and neurodevelopment, RNU4-91P lacks protein-coding potential and does not appear to be transcribed or produce a functional RNA product. No known molecular function, biological phenotype, or disease association is reported for this pseudogene in the scientific or clinical literature[6][7]. You may have intended to inquire about functional U4 snRNA loci like RNU4-2, which is implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders and is a functional, disease-relevant non-coding RNA gene[2][3][4][5]. RNU4-91P, however, is not a therapeutic target or functional molecule.
