RNU4ATAC10P is a non-coding RNA pseudogene closely related to U4atac small nuclear RNA, a critical component of the minor (U12-dependent) spliceosome involved in intron removal during mRNA splicing. However, as a pseudogene, RNU4ATAC10P does not produce functional RNA and is not implicated in physiological processes, disease mechanisms, or therapeutic interventions. This distinguishes it from the functional gene RNU4ATAC, whose mutations cause rare developmental disorders such as Taybi-Linder syndrome and microcephalic osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type 1.
