RNA, U6 small nuclear 1093, pseudogene (RNU6-1093P) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene related to U6 spliceosomal RNA. The parental U6 snRNA is a highly conserved small nuclear RNA essential for spliceosome function and pre-mRNA splicing, but RNU6-1093P itself is not believed to encode a functional product. Pseudogenes like RNU6-1093P may be transcribed at low levels and can show tissue-specific expression, and there is limited evidence some transcribed pseudogenes can modulate parental gene activity through miRNA decoy mechanisms or production of small RNAs. However, RNU6-1093P has not been characterized as a therapeutic target, does not encode a functional protein or RNA product known to participate in disease, and does not have direct drug interactions, biomarker status, or safety concerns. Its annotation is primarily descriptive, without evidence of biological or therapeutic relevance[1][3][4].
