This particular pseudogene is related to the highly conserved U6 snRNA, which plays a crucial structural and catalytic role in the spliceosome, the molecular machine responsible for removing introns from pre-messenger RNA during RNA splicing in eukaryotic cells[1][3]. However, RNU6-130P itself does not code for a functional RNA or protein product and has no direct biological function or therapeutic relevance described in the literature. There are no known disease associations, drug interactions, or biomarker applications for this pseudogene. Its presence reflects typical pseudogenization events in the genome, commonly observed for members of the U6 snRNA gene family[1][4].
