Overview

RNA, U6 small nuclear 1320, pseudogene (RNU6-1320P) is a pseudogene in the human genome derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family[1][5][7][10]. It does not encode a functional product, but instead represents a processed, non-protein-coding fossil remnant of the U6 snRNA gene, most likely generated via retrotransposition[2]. Unlike the canonical U6 snRNA, which is essential in the spliceosomal machinery for pre-mRNA splicing[11], pseudogenes like RNU6-1320P do not have known biological or pathophysiological functions[1][5][10]. There are no known drugs, disease associations, biomarkers, or therapeutic applications attributed to this pseudogene, and it is not considered a therapeutic target. The entry may be flagged as "incorrect" in a therapeutic context because pseudogenes by definition lack the regulatory or coding capacity for typical drug targeting, and searching for this entry as a drug target would be an error[1][5][10].
