RNU6-1336P is a pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family, a set of non-coding RNAs that play essential roles in the spliceosome for pre-mRNA splicing[1]. U6 snRNA is one of the most conserved and abundant snRNAs[3], but pseudogenes such as RNU6-1336P do not produce functional RNAs or proteins; their sequences are remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition and are generally transcriptionally inactive[5]. In some cases, pseudogenes may exert *regulatory effects*, such as serving as molecular decoys for regulatory RNAs or influencing gene expression, but no specific biological or clinical function is assigned to RNU6-1336P[4].
