RNA, U6 small nuclear 145, pseudogene (RNU6-145P) is a processed pseudogene derived from the gene encoding U6 small nuclear RNA, which is a highly conserved non-coding RNA component of the spliceosome complex involved in pre-mRNA splicing[1][2][3]. Pseudogenes like RNU6-145P do not encode functional RNAs or proteins and do not have a direct biological role in splicing or any other cellular process. Instead, they reflect past retrotransposition events and may serve as genomic markers of such activity[3]. As it is a pseudogene, it is not considered a therapeutic target, nor is it involved in biological functions or disease roles.
