RNA, U6 small nuclear 234, pseudogene (RNU6-234P) is a noncoding genomic locus annotated as a pseudogene of U6 small nuclear RNA, a component of the spliceosome[3][5][7]. The U6 snRNA is involved in RNA splicing, but pseudogenes of U6, such as RNU6-234P, do not encode functional RNA molecules and are considered noncoding DNA[3][5]. Pseudogenes generally arise from duplication or retrotransposition events and lack biological activity, although some can exert regulatory effects by various RNA-mediated mechanisms[2]. There is no indication in scientific databases or literature that RNU6-234P has a functional or therapeutic role, nor does it interact with drugs or serve as a biomarker.
