RNA, U6 small nuclear 351, pseudogene (RNU6-351P) is a pseudogene that is part of the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene family. U6 snRNAs are essential components of the spliceosome complex, which catalyzes the removal of introns from pre-mRNA during splicing[3][1][5]. However, as a pseudogene, RNU6-351P is considered a non-functional genomic copy and is not known to be transcribed into a functional RNA or protein. The human genome contains numerous such U6-related pseudogenes, reflecting the evolutionary significance of the functional U6 snRNA, but these pseudogenes do not have known biological functions, roles in disease, or therapeutic relevance[3][4][7].
