01

Overview

RNU6-410P is a human pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family. Functional U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) is a critical non-coding RNA component of the spliceosome, a complex essential for pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotic nuclei[1][2]. However, RNU6-410P is a duplicated (pseudogenic) copy and does not produce a functional RNA product[3][4]. U6 snRNA pseudogenes are common in vertebrate genomes, often generated through retrotransposition or genomic duplication; they are generally not transcribed or functional, though they retain high sequence similarity to active U6 genes[3][4]. There is no evidence that RNU6-410P plays a biological or pathological role in human health or disease.
