RNA, U6 small nuclear 413, pseudogene (RNU6-413P) is a pseudogene of the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) family, annotated as a non-coding RNA gene without protein-coding potential[2]. U6 snRNA itself is a highly conserved non-coding RNA that is a crucial catalytic component of the spliceosome complex, playing a key role in pre-mRNA splicing in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells[1][3]. The U6-413 pseudogene is one of many U6-derived pseudogenes commonly found in vertebrate genomes. Like other pseudogenes, RNU6-413P does not encode a functional RNA or protein due to genomic mutations or lack of necessary regulatory elements for proper expression[2][4]. Although some pseudogenes can regulate their parental genes or participate in gene regulatory networks (e.g., by acting as "sponges" for microRNAs), there is no evidence that RNU6-413P has such a function at this time[2][4]. It is not considered a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter.
