Overview

RNA, U6 small nuclear 414, pseudogene (RNU6-414P) is a pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene family. As a pseudogene, RNU6-414P does not produce a functional protein or functional RNA product and is not known to be involved in canonical biological pathways[4][5]. U6 snRNA is a key component of the spliceosome and crucial for the splicing of pre-mRNA in eukaryotic nuclei[1][3], but pseudogenes like RNU6-414P generally lack biological function and are not considered therapeutic targets. There are many U6-derived pseudogenes in the genome, created via processes like retrotransposition, but these generally have no known role in disease, are not used as biomarkers or therapeutic targets, and are not associated with drug interactions[5].
