Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U6 small nuclear 418, pseudogene (RNU6-418P) is classified as a pseudogene—a genomic sequence derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene but lacking the ability to encode a functional RNA and not known to have a biological function[5][2][4]. The original functional U6 small nuclear RNA is a highly conserved, essential component of the spliceosome involved in intron removal from pre-mRNA during splicing, but pseudogenes like RNU6-418P do not code for functional RNA and are byproducts of retrotransposition or duplication events[4][2][5]. RNU6-418P is not a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any conventional therapeutic target class, and there are no known disease associations, biomarkers, or relevant drugs.
