As with other snRNA pseudogenes, RNU6-481P is considered part of the genome's background pseudogene content, relevant primarily for evolutionary and genomic studies[2][3][5][7]. No clinical, therapeutic, or biomarker roles are currently known for this sequence. Pseudogenes can, in rare cases, modulate gene expression via RNA–protein interactions or antisense regulation, especially in cancer or specific developmental contexts.
