Most pseudogenes—including this one—do not produce active proteins or RNAs; however, recent research suggests some pseudogenes can indirectly regulate their parent genes or other regulatory RNAs, though no evidence specific to RNU6-552P has been identified[4]. Thus, RNU6-552P is **not considered a therapeutic target (such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter)** and there are no drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns associated with it.
