Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U6 small nuclear 565, pseudogene (RNU6-565P) is a human pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family[1][5][8]. U6 small nuclear RNAs are essential components of the spliceosome, but pseudogenes like RNU6-565P are typically non-functional sequences that arise from duplication events or retrotransposition; they lack promoter elements, do not encode functional snRNAs, and are not known to be transcriptionally active[3][4][5][8]. There is currently no evidence suggesting RNU6-565P plays a direct biological or pathological role, nor is it considered a therapeutic target or known to interact with drugs[5][8].
