Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNU6-581P (RNA, U6 small nuclear 581, pseudogene) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene belonging to the family of U6 small nuclear RNAs. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences that are similar to known genes but contain mutations that prevent them from producing functional products. RNU6-581P does not code for a functional small nuclear RNA and does not participate in RNA splicing or other cellular processes associated with functional U6 snRNA. Pseudogenes such as RNU6-581P are generally considered non-essential and have no known implications in disease or therapy[2][4].
