Overview

RNA, U6 small nuclear 619 pseudogene (RNU6-619P) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene found in the human genome[6][5]. It is classified as a pseudogene because it is derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene sequence but does not produce a functional RNA product. U6 snRNA is an essential component of the spliceosome complex, crucial for catalyzing the removal of introns from pre-mRNA during RNA splicing in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells[1][3][7]. However, RNU6-619P itself, as a pseudogene, is typically not transcribed into a functional or catalytically active RNA and is not implicated in therapeutic targeting, biological regulation, or human disease processes. As such, it does not belong to conventional molecular families like enzymes, receptors, or transporters, and there are no known drugs, mechanisms of action, or biomarker applications associated with this pseudogene[6][5].
