RNU6-666P (RNA, U6 small nuclear 666, pseudogene) is a processed pseudogene related to the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene family. U6 snRNA is a highly conserved non-coding RNA and a critical spliceosomal component involved in pre-mRNA splicing[1]. RNU6-666P, however, is classified as a pseudogene and does not produce a functional U6 snRNA product[3]. Such pseudogenes arise from duplication or retrotransposition events and accumulate mutations that prevent them from contributing to normal splicing function[3]. There is currently no evidence that RNU6-666P encodes a protein or exerts functional regulatory influence, nor is it recognized as a disease biomarker or therapeutic target. While some other pseudogenes play indirect roles in gene regulation or disease via non-coding RNA mechanisms[2], there are no data supporting such roles for RNU6-666P specifically. \n\nIn summary, RNU6-666P is a nonfunctional RNA pseudogene with no established biological, therapeutic, or disease relevance.
